Beyond morphology, sometimes unstressed syllables just don’t want onsets.They don’t take long to say and just don’t need the baggage of additional consonants, especially not clusters

There are 24 consonants and 13 vowels, each corresponding to a phoneme of general American English. The first two tables are Latin aliases for the 37 letters, and the second two tables are the rook letters themselves

The sounds vowels make are also affected by the consonants in the coda. Most noticeably, the rhotic vowels are

or (ɔɹ) ar (ɑɹ) er (aɹ/ɛəɹ/eɹ)

I’ve always thought I speak a pretty hegemonic idiolect, but in severing it from received orthography I see it also as a regional vernacular and it feels like something I own and can be proud of
