Right, so generic Dem stuff. Could easily be the platform of any generic Dem for the last 40 years. What that really means is just another Democrat that will vote with the party. No real challenge to the power structure or status quo that led to Trump and trumpism.

No. He got it before he had actually done anything because he spoke out against the war in Iraq before his presidency and they hoped he would end Bush's wars... But he didn't.

Yeah, but Obama also never should have been given that award. He hasn't done anything to earn it at that time. And his presidency was very mixed regarding issues of war and peace. Good on Iran and Cuba. Awful with the war on terror, especially Libya.

Agreed. Trust in government also declines because they often mislead. It's hard to win the voters while appealing to the donors, so lying is required... Unless to jettison the donors and start actually serving the people. But that seems unlikely haha

I think it has more to do with seeing the reality of ordinary people. Our "leaders" travel in elite circles, meet with big donors, hear from Wall Street execs.... For those folks, everything is fine.
