If we're going to apply road tax to EVs because they don't pay fuel excise, then it's only fair if we also apply pollution tax to non-EVs by increasing fuel excise.

One of the most diabolical Apple UI designs.

This is from the built-in Stocks app. Surely the icon should indicate the action of pressing the button, not the state of something?

Don't be fooled by the short term "savings". Taxpayers are essentially giving $6 billion to their fossil fuel donors. A waste of money that would be better spent fixing real problems.

Google resorting to dark pattern sales tactics is low. Shame on you, Google. I hope the conversion rate is really low on this and whoever's responsible learns a lesson (hah!).

The location of the charging port doesn't bother me. It's the shape that makes it unusable for long periods of time for me. If Apple indeed makes something like the Logitech MX Master 3S (probably the best mouse? even Tim Cook admitted to using it instead of the Magic Mouse), then I'll switch to it.

Australia’s education system is unbalanced. It disproportionately favours those who are already advantaged. It gives public money and tax concessions to private schools that go to private beneficiaries. 🔽

Thankfully Australia has a big defense budget to defend Australia from these threats.
Australia is connected to the world by cables no thicker than a garden hose – and at risk from sharks, accidents and sabotage
Last month two Baltic Sea cables were damaged and experts say Australia’s cables are not immune from threats. How worried should we be?

Ever wondered why some websites/apps/companies do things that they claim is "for security reasons", unable/unwilling to elaborate further, such as limiting password length, disabling pasting password, requiring a password change every X months, etc?

AI products trying to replace workers feels like lazy thinking. Wouldn't it make more sense to replace the high paid execs first if saving money is the goal?
