I remember when my mom, who’s in her 70s, and I heard Kamala Harris announce her care-at-home plan. We were so excited. She even explained it was cheaper than hospital care. To us, it felt like someone was actually planning to make healthcare better.

BRAVA for hitting it on the head. My old version of the same sentiment is about recharging your batteries because if you don’t give yourself time to recharge you’ve nothing left to give.
This regime's tactic of flooding the zone hits harder in winter, when people are stuck inside and the nonstop stream of awful news overwhelms you until shutting down feels like the only option. This is a reminder to step away when you need to, because you cannot pour from an empty glass.
