The down-side for me is that they are MUCH louder than the Prusas. But they don't bother my cats, who sleep on top of them. :-) I spend a LOT less time watching printers -- they allow me to focus on design and assembly and not worry about if things are printing okay.

I've retired my Prusa MK3s and now use two Bambu P1S printers. They are much more "closed source" than the Prusa, but they just work. No more fiddling with bed leveling and nozzle clearance. Changing / running out of filament is simple. I can print a full bed of parts without having to watch it.

For me, it's about flexibility. I have a lot more control when there's an MCU there -- and I can use digital sensors. (Making a GlidePoint for the PS5AC was a giant pain due to its "TRRS Only" setup.)

This made me want to punch my monitor, but I can't afford a new one. This is seriously hurting.

Joystick failure?

Yea, I agree -- Desert Bus is far too predictable. The bus would have to be careening between both (non existent) guard rails while a giant pigeon shits on the windshield.
