My favorite is the Hershey's Kisses handbells - it helps that I played handbells at one point.

But I also have a soft spot for the Corona palm tree with Christmas lights. Beer counts as food, right?

My dad loved them, too.

My mom had a cookie tin dedicated to them since the anise scent was so strong.

She helped them and then realized there’s no place for her in their plans.

A real-life Serena Joy. So it goes.

A past bridge partner adopted two cats but could never decide on a matching set of names for them. She finally settled on Gato and Chat.

No, they never gifted me in a mug. The current cats do drop toys in their water bowls, though. I didn’t know mice liked to swim! 🤷‍♀️

Oh, now you’ve done it! You let the genie out of the bottle and we’ll all have to suffer for it.

Our previous coffee table had gaps between the base frame and the lower shelf, but we didn’t know that. We’d always just pushed the table to move it. At some point, though, we needed to lift it up.

And that’s when we found a lot of the mouse toys.

(I also found one in my purse once.)

I’ve tried! But you can’t keep it up long enough. They keep at you and at you, year after year, tricking and punishing…

Tell them in long, excruciating detail how heavy your monthly is, why you’ll be in there a while, and ask whether they provide tampons and pads, or if they can make change for the dispenser. Most men will be cringing in no time, armed or not.

Dalton is my favorite. He world-weary and yet does his duty.

I wish he’d made more films.

Same here. Got off the school bus at 3:45 and had just enough time to run down the block, grab a soda, and plop in front of the TV.

The PBS station in St Louis ran it at 10pm in the mid-80s, so I got to watch most of it again. Loved the set walls shaking - even the ones in the tomb!

Such a good movie! Helen Hayes is wonderful and her silent reactions are gems.

A showing of Psycho at college. A woman in the audience would scream whenever the violins screeched, even though nothing had happened on screen yet. It’s the only time I ever saw Psycho where the audience was laughing during the scary parts.

You’re right, but it’s really good, too - maybe we have better taste than we thought.

It’s also really funny.

Real stunt actors doing real stunts, no CGI. Love this movie.

Try the book, too, if you haven’t already.
