Highly unlikely the Met would do it! When I get rich I’ll start a little opera company that specializes in works like this. (Highly unlikely you’ll ever see the Ligeti at the Met either.)

I’ll have to look for that one. My go-to recording has been the one with Agnes Baltsa. I wish the Met would revive it, but then I say that about so many things. Sigh.

I guess so. I was with a fairly big group - 15 or so - and they kept us moving. Detracted a bit from the experience but still very glad I went.

He’s also a very good singer.

I wish I could have gotten some photos of Margheri, who spent at least half the show with his shirt off. At the end he was down to his skivvies. His gym time is obviously very well spent. He was alas fully clothed at curtain call. Sorry.

Or possibly Ludwig II is the original Disney? It was well worth the visit even if they didn’t let us take photos. 😢

Very nice. Not quite too hot and in Pesaro you often get a nice sea breeze. Milan was a bit too warm and humid and not air conditioned but I was only there a few hours.
