I’ve got used to seeing them over the Roman Road east of Cambridge but a couple of weeks ago four drifted over the garden in Cherry Hinton. They seemed to be eyeing me up as a likely meal.

Went looking for Cecilia today and she took a bit of finding! Rather hidden up some stone steps here she is with Miriam from the Book of Exodus. Well worth the effort! #StEdmundsBury Cathedral #BuryStEdmunds #Suffolk

Just about all birds were elusive yesterday. Best I could do was to invent a new party game of 'pin the tail on the Jay'! Wandlebury Woods near #Cambridge. #UKBirds

I only ever visited in evenings with running mates and it was thriving often with sports ‘enthusiasts’. That must be 20 years ago and it’s been closed for over ten.

Nice shot! I heard one yesterday in tall trees and in sunshine but it never perched in view despite the fact I had a camera ready.
