Seeing aurorae at all is unbelievable when you consider that this is the light pollution directly south of Mt. Wilson Observatory: literally Los Angeles, plus even more reflection of that light from clouds tonight.

We’re one of the cool kids now and have joined as a science officer aboard a ship in a national Star Trek cosplay group! Our ship is in the “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” era, so our science officer uniform conforms to those standards. Looking forward to many more events with them in the future!
