I hate my brain's ability to associate things, sometimes.

Hey everyone.

So, this is really difficult. I...have some things I need to finally be honest about.

A little over a year ago, I released my first commercial #indiegame, New Meat. As much as I've been trying to hide it and act positive, what's followed has been...demoralizing.

A post-mortem.

Man, remember how The Inventory was going to be a whole franchise after those Poker Night games?

I was…really excited for that.

Even a couple years later, I stand by everything I said when I made TotK my Game of the Year back in 2023.

It’s the best open-world game ever made. Just as true now as it was then.

You know, despite it being one of my favorite games that I’ve put tons of hours into, I’d never actually beaten Tears of the Kingdom.

Until tonight.

Everyone freaking out about that nerdy scientist in Metroid Prime 4 needs to stop worrying. I was able to play the hands-on demo a bit further and can confirm Samus gets different companions later on.

I hope Miles McKenzie has a hilarious catchphrase, like “Say WHAT, now?” or “Boy, I’m gonna feel THAT in the morning!”

And then in Season 6 he builds himself a robot girlfriend.

I don’t know how a Metroid game has a Season 6 but Miles McKenzie makes it happen.

Okay, as silly as the Nintendo Store app is the fact that you can also buy merch through it is kind of cute.

Start of an amazing franchise.

Reminded of the time when Mario Kart made a track set in Los Angeles and, out of all the cool landmarks our city has, decided to include the freaking oil field next to the airport.

Wow, they got so many locations from the show.

Okay they got me I’m playing Fortnite again.

The weapon's gimmick is that it doesn't raise your stats at all when equipped. Instead, it boosts things like your crit rate, counter rate and reflect rate based on how you upgrade it.

Its weapon skill is "Trick or Treat," a move with a variety of random effects similar to "Pray" from Earthbound.

Halloween's over so now I guess it's okay to spoil it.

As some of you may have discovered, The Hallowed Update introduced New Meat's very first NEW WEAPON! The first one ever added to the game since its original launch, complete with its own unique upgrade tree and special skill.

Meet the Lantern!

Now that we know Nintendo’s “final updates” aren’t truly final that means it’s time to bring this talking point back.

The midnight hour is close at hand, and a certain pumpkin-headed horror is still feeling lonely. Sounds like a late-night giveaway is in order!

Take it away, Dr. Hallows!
