This is what Dietrich Bonhoeffer called “cheap grace.”

Quote from: Bill Hull

Not particularly religious myself but this did make sense as we watch the disaster unfolding in the United States.

They determined that the gospel Americana is that you can become a Christian but not necessarily follow Jesus.
This divided salvation into two parts, conversion and discipleship. It is being preached that conversion is necessary, but discipleship is optional.

Oddly I had the opposite criticism of JT, at times he was too open and too much in front of people. He spent a lot of time trying to please everyone.

I just made a similar observation on a FB post. While I support the PM, he does need to be more open so as to assuage any concerns that Canadians may have. He does not have to give out a lot of how the decision making is happening, but certainly it needs to be more than what we have been seeing.

That was good. He played his cards close to his vest, something tells me I would not want to get into a poker game with him.

You would think they would get the message but then we all stop and consider what you folks are dealing with in the US.

Understand fully, just know that a lot of non-conservative Canadians are willingly going to keep their front porch lights on if needed.

Actually, millions of Canadians in particular do. Many of us have extended families in the US so many of us are checking in with them to make sure they are OK.

Sometimes I think that most US Citizens are not seeing their country the way those of us in other countries do. It's not great, the USA has become a de facto authoritarian police state with surveillance of citizens activities virtually everywhere.

You are in more trouble than you realize.

What sources and methods, missile hits craft and it blows up, 2 one murders any subsequent survivors clinging to the remains of the boat.
Not a war crime, it was premeditated murder.

The Commonwealth and La Organisation internationale de la Francophonie. We have more commonality with them than we do with our next door neighbour. Now we are moving ever closer to the EU, the Asia Pacific Nations, Africa and South/Central America (incl. the Caribbean Nations) and moving away from

That whole Project 2025 addendum, US National Security Strategy based on the Monroe Doctrine with its' corollary of Manifest Destiny completely bypasses that Canada along with a few other countries in this Hemisphere are members of in our case 2 ex-colonial organizations,

Wow, I wonder if you folks really understand how far down the road to a monitored police state you are.
December 10, 2025 at 5:58 PM
Yeah that's about right. At some point they are going to implode especially if the blue states say FO no more paying for the red welfare states.

I soooo want to see investigations into his corruption. If his FIL wasn't who he was would the Saudi's have bucked up, not bloody likely.

The Roberts' court will go down in infamy as the most corrupt Supreme Court in the history of the United States.

Good legacy, Eh John.
