as they have business interests up there, which is basically where Carter tells them to stick their interests. I wish it had been true to the Ted Lewis novel, but it remains a great film. And yeah, it’s a multi-time rewatch. Caine is so fucking good.

At least they're raising their children right.

Seems like he’d die from all the blood he spills, but not so easily in this Gordon comedy. It’s no Re-Animator, but still a fine piece of entertainment.

You want a crappy review? DON'T WATCH WEAPONS. I heard great things about it, switched to X after a couple minutes.

If it's me, I'll never dunk on you. Because I like and respect you. Also, I'm probably on the spectrum myself, and wonder at anyone who isn't.

It wasn't great. Stream kept bogging down on Criterion, so I switched to HBO, tried to watch Weapons but it bugged me instantly, wound up watching this. Not a bad way to kill some time, so I look forward to the second one. If Criterion fails me again (seems unlikely).

who has eyes for a student, Fumio Watanabe, and rapes her. He takes her as his new girl, beats her, and she falls for him, although she claims to love Watanabe. Good noir and Nakadai’s first major performance.

Mainly it’s a pro-semite movie, plus includes the line “Any man you bring up here is my business.” Good, not great.
