Queens of the Dead!!!!! Finally it came to a cinema in London!! And it was utterly perfect and everything I hoped it would be! So glad I got to see it in the cinema. Even if the “big” screen was small it was fun seeing it with a bunch of other queer people who were enjoying it as much as I did.

Yesterday was our last day. Our 2pm train was cancelled so booked on the 8pm one instead. Found a nice yarn shop, and did a little exploring before the museum.

It is impossible to pick just 4 pics from yesterdays visit the the Musee Cernuschi. I adored the Chu guardian! Was so excited to see the bronze. Was struck by the colours in the pottery and learned about Bapo which was an utterly beautiful artistic response to devastation. So inspiring!

A finished knitting photo!!! (I’m so behind!) this one was using yarn I bought in 2020 that didn’t look right in st-st but is perfect for a textured pattern. I used the Maema cardigan pattern again but did the stitch over the whole thing. Which made a great texture.

I have been playing this video game for over THIRTY years! Today I beat it on hard for the first time! I am the one true master of magic! 😂
(If anyone else still plays it was all white with halflings starting)

Out with friends last night to see Frankenstein at bfi imax. Which meant we had to walk across Waterloo bridge during a massive thunderstorm! Which was definitely the most Halloween thing to do! And one point two dark night style Batmen rode past on bikes. It was awesome!

Today is one of my favorite days of work! The semi annual visit by Queen Mary students to look at our medieval documents! In particular 3 at the time of the Black Death!

Things I can’t explain if someone asks me, How was your weekend?
Well I went to a concert at a comic con by the actor who played my favorite video game character of all time and he sang songs that he wrote for that character and I cried! Troy Baker’s songs for Joel was healing 🖤

Since my autism diagnosis I’ve been reading a LOT of old Star Trek books about Vulcans. Half of which are new to me. All highly enjoyable! Currently reading the price of the phoenix which is the gayest of gay Spirk books! Alternating with more modern queer books but I’m really enjoying these!

My uncle is on the back of the soft cell album. I don’t think this is an apocryphal story as he didn’t like the band! 🤣 but was living by them in soho at the time.

80s Star Trek novels FTW again! Just an 8 foot tall he/him tentacle monster flirting with Sulu! (Sulamid have 12 genders all male. With Garrick adding, especially the ones who bear children)
