I'm old. I read. I know things. Tea drinker in a land awash in coffee. Owned by cats. Blue dot in a red state. Atheist. Married in Missouri. She/her
You're welcome! It worked perfectly.

Typical Christmas movies don't do much for me. I prefer Christmas as background, not as something continuously harped on.

Being in a rare Christmasy spirit this year, I've read seven or eight MM Christmas romances. Some light and fluffy, some quite dark. This one is by far my favorite!

I always name my Kindles after book collections and my laptops after women in science who have been overlooked by history.

I named the new Kindle The Private Case, after the British Library's collection of erotica and porn. It seemed appropriate.

After the scene with the lights, I had to take a moment. My own memories of rope took over for a few minutes. 🤭

Finally managed to get my review done. In addition to download issues and setting up my new Kindle, I wound up having to spend hours trying to help my husband with his rarely used laptop. Updates really should not cause more problems than they fix.

Robin's review of An Entangled Christmas
5/5: (Before I start, let me just say, that scene after Nathan gets home in Chapter 2 was as hot as the center of the sun! I will never look at Christmas lights the same again!) Jon and Nathan love e...

Thank you for sharing that. I always thought Professor Van Helsing was rather creepy. That level of self-righteousness is never good.

No. Just no. I'm having nightmares of chocolate bars in the shape of wooden stakes, booths selling blood sausages on hot dog buns with garlic fries on the side, and drinks called Dracula's Blood or The Blood is The Life.

I'm working on a review right now to be posted on both Amazon and GoodReads.

That was not at all what I expected...it was exquisite! Breathtakingly exquisite! I was on the verge of tears the entire time. A very adult retelling that manages to be sexy, vulnerable, and delicate all at the same time.

I borrowed it through KU, but I had to go back and buy it.

Decided to get both of them!
December 9, 2025 at 3:34 AM
The plan was to chill in my comfy chair and read. However, every time I pick up my book, my husband wants to start a conversation.

Is it still murder if you kill him after he's interrupted your reading five times in the last hour? Asking for a friend.

I look forward to reading it!

Both ankle and roof are better. The ceiling has also been fixed, but repainting is going to have to wait a bit longer. It's a spare bedroom that we use for storage, so there's no rush.

Congratulations on all the progress on the third book! And how did I miss the second one?! A leaky roof and a sprained ankle back in August is no excuse. The oversight has been remedied.

The world would be a much better place if people were more concerned with what people do with the stuff between their ears rather than with what they do with the bits between their legs.

How could anyone not love Jon and Nathan?!
December 6, 2025 at 4:42 PM
One of those "I could not have read what I think I just read" moments, which required me to reread the entire scene again. That doesn't happen to me very often.
December 3, 2025 at 9:09 PM
Thank you for posting this. I had made a mental note about it, but it got buried under all the other mental notes! I should probably start writing stuff down! 📝

What can I say? Your books have been among some of the best parts of my year. There are only a handful of authors whose books I will buy without needing to see a synopsis. You are one of those authors.

☺️

You are welcome.

Your books always make my day, this one doubly so. Now to find something else to read that won’t feel thin and insipid after this one. Always a problem after one of your books. Maybe something completely different, such as horror.

I read that paragraph three times to make sure I wasn't hallucinating! Then I read it aloud to my husband since he couldn't find his glasses.

Oh, I've written my review also.

Robin's review of Don't Call Me Jonathan
5/5: This book cracked my heart open from the first paragraph. The pain bleeds off the page, both unsettlingly familiar and strangely new, as it coated my hands and dripped onto my lap. I cannot remem...

Just got to the Author's Note. The book already had me emotional, but that had me reaching for some tissues! Thank you. 😊

Downloaded! Haven't started it yet since I slept late. Despite the snow here in St. Louis, my PsA allowed me to get nearly nine hours of sleep! 💥🎊

Of course. That is the obvious spot.
