Blood Omen 2 Legacy of Kain was interesting. I find it's gameplay doesn't last the run time with it with a lack of mechanical complexity for what it provides. The narrative is a massive mark down compared to the rest of the series. I did enjoy the steam punk & Kain himself but it was just about ok

Started Blood Omen 2 Legacy of a Kain
I love the steampunk Victorian inspired setting which is similar to my own book. So that's fun. The game feels not great to play but not terrible either. I'm gonna take it slow, I did the first chapter and I'm interested to see where the story goes

Soul Reaver 2 was unfortunately disappointing for me. The linearity and repeating content was unfortunate but the lack of exploration and meaningful use of gameplay systems was what really bothered me in comparison to how well fleshed out the first game was. It's mediocre outside of the story

Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver was very fun! Scratching that Zelda-like itch for me with a lot of platforming and gothic ambience.
Has some PS1 jank and I do wish we could explore the world building more but it's a great entry point to the series
