The Conservative government’s cut to hospitals are being felt by healthcare workers and patients alike.

Our hospitals are already the most fiscally efficient. Cutting their budgets will mean fewer staff & services available

We need care not cuts!

TL;DR: the Minister of Health is satisfied with only some of Ontarians having access to the essential medications they need. I believe we can (and must) do better to ensure equitable access to healthcare for all.

In yesterday's Spectator @cameronkroetsch.bsky.social and I talk about what we’ve been hearing from tenants in Hamilton, Bill 60 and Ford’s disregard for tenant rights, and the work we need to do to secure safe, affordable, and dignified housing for all.

Not only did Ontarians foot the bill for removing speed cameras (which happen to have been effective and revenue-generating) we’re now being forced to pay for giant oversized “don’t speed” signs and… (checks notes)… bigger poles.

Another one of Ford’s fiscal failures.
NEW: Doug Ford promised giant signs to replace speed cameras in school zones. Well, they've arrived and... they're huge. So big they don't fit onto existing poles.

Cities say they're too big, the province says they were briefed weeks ago. #Onpoli

Not to be forgotten in the bad-ness of Bill 60 - provisions that open the door to privatize our public water systems.

Hamilton’s experience in the 90s should be a warning - we must protect our public water systems!

Ontario can’t afford any more failed housing policy from the Ford Conservatives - they have led us into a housing disaster.

Tenant rights are being eroded with the passing of Bill 60. We need to continue to organize to repeal this awful legislation!

Hamilton knows better. Privatization of Hamilton's water in the 90s was a disaster - millions of litres of raw sewage leaked into Hamilton harbour and hundreds of homes were flooded.
Public water management is safe and cost-effective and we must protect it.
