For forgiveness to work (and I’m all for it by the way) the person seeking it has to have at least made an attempt to change, and not repeat the offence not just better disguising it. If not, you simply move away from that person. That is where non- racist and non anti semitic folk are right now.

As a Brit, the notion of a presidential pardon just seems weird. I dont think we have any equivalent in the U.K., and the separation between executive power and the legal system seems really important. The US system seems to me to be an open invitation to corruption, & Trump needs no encouragement!
