Ha it certainly does. When I did the podcast with them there was so much stuff I came to understand about the last album after we’d finished recording. And I think you articulate brilliantly what I would talk about if I could do it all again! But such is the linear nature of time!!

I watch this every time I am feeling a bit miserable and want to remind myself what humans are capable of. He plays with effortless swing and grace, pinching cymbals like he’s picking daisies and harmonising so sweetly it’s as if he’s dragging Ian Brown back into key. youtu.be/4PBU_N5x4ls

Ah yeah I must be conflating something. He’s definitely on Dead Man’s Shoes, and Shane Meadows was a big fan so presumably he invited him up for it.

Am I right in thinking Gravenhurst were on the soundtrack? I remember Nick went to the premier and was annoyed that the music was too loud because he wanted to talk to Chris Morris, ha!

Ha yes, this reminds me of a book I read about Get Back/Let it Be where the author said Lennon’s inspiration was at a career low. A three week period between the White Album and Abbey Road but sure!

Yeah agree. Also if you look at how Dylan’s stuff is being managed, there’s a huge market for it! Basically I want to hear all the Rubber Soul tapes!

Yeah this is the stand out for me! You get a really sense of the band as a machine. A count in and hey presto, it’s the Beatles.

Unrelated to the sad news about Mani but I once heard Kevin Shields had a pedal where all it did was alert the monitor man that ‘something’ was wrong. It obviously didn’t specify what.
