So... about those "exploding trees"... it's not really a thing.

"Frost Cracking" is real and can happen in very cold air if it freezes the water in the tree sap causing it to expand and "crack" the bark causing a gun shot noise but if you were expecting a big kaboom, you would be disappointed.
