Literate smartypants still hopeful about education and only once considered voting for a Republican. Only partisan when the other side is STUPID. Interests are popular music and film, art, aesthetics, novels, romanticism and ancient history not in order.
Gege is as good as mangaka get. Glad I have been in the audience for all of JJK in all its fierce but resilient tragedy executed with grace (and gravity) and good humor in spite of all the nonsense that surrounds us.

This Penguin edition of the Timaeus and Critias Socratic dialogues must not have been spell-corrected after it was scanned digitally:

Academia is saying we will stop spamming you if you pay us. Fuck you Academia!
July 5, 2025 at 1:44 AM
Academia is trying to make me to filter their helpful "spam". And do not be fooled by the $1 for the first month rate--it will escalate to $200 a year and when you tell them I did not ask for that, they will tell you that they are not refunding subs. #academiablues

Clearance of an unofficial RV camp. As someone who got creeped on a couple of times walking the path behind those concrete barriers, I am not disappointed. But that very thought is an example of how an inertial policy on safe housing for all makes us all feel unsafe. Peace.

Unchurched and his da was the Blimpy sort to think all Religion is a put on (as Hitchens was in his way as well). But that does not excuse saying "ecumenical" comes from the Latin. It comes from the fucking Greek, especially that big word <<oikos>>-the house. Which as Greek words gets Bigger:

The most cutting line in Mary Trump's book about being in That Family. By the way, in 2004 they sold what Fred built for $300 million less what it was worth. To pay for Donny's spendthrift ways. He was not a developer or a construction mgmt guy. He is a Brand. And not a good one. Receivership Now!

UW alumni magazine has a big advantage when it writes about the university early years since it started in 1860 (when the state was a #territory). Much of the development of the U and city took place when it could be photographed. Even colorized, the photos here are spectacular.
