This crab apple tree in a neighbour's garden always gives a splash of colour during the autumn and winter months and it's particularly good this year.

My winter spring onions have germinated nicely. Well this container has; the second one is not so good because the squirrels have been at it. The garlic is sprouting as well.

I saw these in the supermarket so had to have some for Yuletide.

Not flowers but here's a picture of next year's runner beans 😀

I wired up the latest section of track. This is the first time I've been able to test running across the point and the first time I've wired up a live frog. I'm really pleased with the slow running.

Runner bean seeds for next year's sowing gathered in. There's something satisfying about growing from seeds that you've collected from the current year's crop (apart from getting them for free).

A welcome treat with a cuppa after today's ramble. Pass the defibrillator mother.

Lapworth Junction and the Stratford-upon-Avon Canal along with some interesting fungus. This month's ramble around Baddesley Clinton.

There's still something interesting in the garden. Every October this pops up to surprise me. I have no idea what it is.

First point and point motor installed. This is the first time I've used a SEEP motor and the first time I've wired for a switched live frog. No problems with either. Wiring depends on how the motor is orientated.

Seeds for next year's dwarf beans collected. I've planted next year's garlic from cloves saved from this year's harvest and sown some winter spring onions. First time with spring onions so interesting to see how the turn out.

Rambling around no mooring, no beer Ansty. Hawthorn and the Oxford canal. The hedgerows are just starting to turn. Great to get into the fresh air, peace and boundless horizons.

We had a trip to the garden centre today. We bought another mythical creature to add to the statuary, some house leeks, a house plant, some winter-hardy spring onion seeds and some rich blue irises for the rose container.

As the car was in Stratford-upon-Avon for servicing we thought we would pop over to Stretton-on-Fosse and get some samples from the brewery. One of each of the five NCB beers and one each of the three Stratford Brewery beers.

Pelargonium cuttings taken and roses planted into their container. The red ones are garden centre rescue jobs that have struggled for years in the border and the yellow ones were in a basket of plants given as a gift. @crogers67.bsky.social
