“For every like, I’ll make his pants bigger” is what this look says to me.

And you too, Paul!

Merry Christmas, Jack!

(And George Michael that same week, too! Didn’t mean to leave him out, but he might not have been in the Hollywood in memoriam videos.)

I always worry about who we’re going to lose between Christmas & New Year, though—ever since we lost Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds in a two day span…

The first one WAS a soap opera! (I was in it, I remember it well…)

Interesting point…!

Bit late to tell Medea though.

(With more experience here, I realise they were either just d*cks who wanted better seats, or got drunk at interval and forgot where they’d been sitting before that.)

When I first came to Australia, I went to a general admission show at Sydney Theatre Co and when I got back from intermission, someone had taken my seat. It was not a very full venue, so I found somewhere else—but I was convinced that was local custom, that it was g/a AGAIN after interval!

All of this seems to be built on the idea that all these mayors have time to take on another half-to-full time role on top of what they’re already doing, right? That seems optimistic, at best?

What is this bizarro world of Toronto-NZ political analysis I’ve stumbled onto by accident? Nobody understands my Mike Harris ‘Days of Action’ references! (And weirdly I just found a 30-year-old Globe & Mail theatre review that references him this week, too—he’d just been elected, of course.)
