Then I came back after 20 years and re-learned via commander and Commander gameplay videos.

If I’d come back via draft I’d not be playing now.

After trying to figure out what was happening I turned it off thinking somehow 3-4 episodes got accidentally spliced together and that it would get fixed later.

I’m liking riftbound I hope it actually takes off beyond the niche it’s in now (locally at least).

4 player gameplay felt repetitive compared to MTG or SWU but enjoy the 2 player gameplay.

Looking up periodically and seeing 6 different people playing a commander game at different points in the video had me so confused 😂

Literally rewinded and fast forwarded like 10 times trying to figure it out.

Honestly she’s more fun to build than FLZuko. He’s kinda annoying to build and rough to balance cards around.

I’m a little surprised the 4 color ability wasn’t something epic related to having multiple members of the team on field at same time.

I like that it says you’ll have 10min to shop but doesn’t say your stuff in cart will be reserved.

I think the point is the kids that want to buy packs can’t afford to buy an entire stores stock. But the adults can, and do.

That’s not to say there aren’t plenty of adults that genuinely love Pokémon. But only adults are the ones with the ulterior motives for buying in bulk.

For me it’s 25% the Fortnite-ification of a richly built deep-lored fantasy game. 75% the creation of mechanically unique and often interesting designs that may never see Universe Within printing.

If they just sold both UW and UB versions it would make everyone happy and probably more 💰 for them.

It’s frustrating to see a “set” like Spider-Man have so many mediocre, phones in feeling cards then immediately after release being inundated with dozens of mechanically unique, interesting, UB cards from other random places.

At my LGS it’s 20-30yo “collectors” and people videotaping themselves in-store opening packs to post online.

Literally 95% of the people that bought Pokémon yesterday (200+ packs and ETBs) fit into those two categories.

Never noticed til now how much they phoned it in on the updated MCChicago pin.
