Not bad considering I quickly grabbed the camera and shot through the kitchen window. The R6 struggled a little with picking out the brown animal behind the brown trees in the brown leaves. A longer lens would have helped!

Me and my mum at the Colosseum. Having a wonderful time talking about memories of my dad, my grandparents, when mum was growing up, life in the pit village when only one family had a TV and they all sat as kids cross legged watching it.

And then we had a motorway covered in branches that had been ripped off the trees and two inches of ice and water to contend with. We all stopped whilst some bloke got out of his car and dragged half a tree out of the outside lane. Didn’t get a photo of that though.

It has been a bit of a day. Driving on the motorway 20km north of Taizé and the cars in front all hit the breaks. Then we hit a wall of ice, rain and lightning. Total standstill. The hail was massive abd bouncing off the van.
