They do that, and they guarantee a change in the Court by a democratic Congress. Suicide.

There was a time in my adult life when I had faith that the Supreme Court worked from a base of impartiality and good faith. I have lost that faith.

What “fight” were these people engaged in? What weapons did they have? What battlefront were they headed to?

This is an administration using the “national security” excuse to justify every action no matter how lethal as some twisted form of self-defense.

Yes. Income tax has already been paid on income earnings, and capital gains taxes have already been paid on investment earnings. Taxing people again after they’ve already been taxed is simply confiscatory. It will lead to people moving wealth out of the country to avoid it.

Layoffs could actually begin in earnest, as opposed to hiring freezes and attrition.

Emergence of stagflation as tariff-driven prices continue to rise while employment is dropping, consumption drops, production slows down.

Emerging liquidity squeeze on households and small investors.

If only we had something like, you know, “insurance”, or something like that. Maybe Costco could invent health insurance? Even though Costco isn’t open to everybody… well, then we could require Costco to accept everybody as a member… just freethinking here…

Now the “war on drugs” is an actual international war. It’s amazing how this administration stretches every authority to its breaking point. National security, war on drugs, cancelling pardons…there is no right that this president won’t claim to justify every abuse of power he can conceive.

Trump‘s recent threat to denaturalize existing American citizens makes it clear that he is not intent on deporting just illegal immigrants — and certainly not just deporting criminal illegal immigrants. He is deporting everyone who doesn’t fit his definition of an “appropriate” American citizen.
