Not had a great roast dinner yet this year...nor an awful one.

I wonder if this will break today?!

It's the birthday roast dinner. Well at least the pork wasn't burnt much this year...

It's the birthday roast dinner today! Let's hope its better than last years burnt pork offering...

Alas, just read the recent reviews on Google and they are, erm, mixed.

A friend has just invited me to her birthday party...at the pub which I gave the worst ever score to 🫣

Can we really survive enough 3 years of this shit? #Trump

At least gravy standards improved over the last year.

Stop the small gravy boats.

Another solo dining mission today as again I cannot be arsed with socialising but I'm still on duty for you.

One of those places where it's really obvious I'm on my own, and I'll look even more out of place when I start taking photos of the roast dinner.

1,000% tariffs on all American meat products NOW.

Oh...actually we don't eat any of their chemically-enhanced shite.

Had my first ever arepa today. And yuka fries.

From Arepa & Co in Bethnal Green. Not life changing but succulent pork and a hint of spice in the mayo was pleasing.

Are we ever going to fight back against the orange one's bullying?

Today's roast dinner, paid for by what Charlotte Ivers would call a mug (me). Oh and she's some kind of food critic apparently.

Gosh two weeks in a row that I'm ordering a roast dinner for less than £20. Though I am soooo far from central London this week.
January 11, 2026 at 12:59 PM
Solo dining today, not that I'm miserable (maybe I will be after the roast!), it's just CBA to socialise time of year.

Anyone else on a roast dinner adventure today?

Tried to go to Kappacasein in Borough Market today where I'm told does the best cheese toastie in London.

Alas closed.

Brindisa for a chorizo sandwich was my "I'm hungry cannot be bothered to look" option...but I'm sure I could have done better. Hmmm.

One humongous chicken to start the year.

Hoping today's pub has a terrible beer selection.

On my way for the first roast dinner of 2026. Anyone else on adventures?

Guess we might need VAR for the FIFA Peace Prize.

Happy New Year to all roast dinner fans.

May your year be like this:
January 1, 2026 at 10:04 AM
Well I had 10 roast dinners that I scored 8+ this year.

So pretty good year, no?

Last roast dinner of the year so let's end on an...oh

Well I've made it for a roast dinner as my break between trains on my journey from Hull to Croydon.

Just 4 other diners.

Should I be worried or is everyone done with eating out after Christmas?!
December 28, 2025 at 3:37 PM
Cheesy beans on toast. With bacon. With eggs. With wine. Diet starts...not now
December 27, 2025 at 2:57 PM
Merry Christmas to everyone, including jus-preferring radical leftists, and even new potatoes on a roast dinner scum.

Ps don't even think about critiquing my mother's cooking. 7/10 maybe.
