Here's something I'd not considered before: what's the shelf life of a timing belt?

Probably quite long (untensioned, etc.). I only ask as I ordered this new kit and it actually looks to be about 9yrs old.

I'll be getting a new one, anyway (belt has taken a set, for one thing), for peace of mind.

Here's a rarity: a #Mercedes-Benz A210 Evolution (LWB) with the Lamella sunroof.

Looks tired, but it shouldn't cost much.

1,165kg, 2.1-litre SOHC four, 138bhp, 8.7 to 60 (auto), 124mph.

22 on the road here, 29 SORN. Only 174 (all versions) on record still.

I saw this example for sale recently, on that note...

(And now I can't help but keep an eye out for the/a suitable lamp pod...)

Still one of my favourite T-shirts.

(And ten points to those who are aware of the connection...)

... part of me thinks I should just get another ZC32S, like my old one (right). Great car. And, beneficially, one that is far more usable and better supported. So, I could use it more, and use it more in anger, and not worry or get annoyed by it.

But, still, the Ignis... hmm.

What's your current automotive obsession?

Mine's the #Suzuki Ignis Sport. I've been watching countless examples for the past few months, daydreaming about corner-induced grins, those Recaro seats, that homologation cachet (for me, at least), and that peppy M15A engine.

But...

I'm on other networks but wanted to try this – so if you have any tips (especially about using and getting the most out of Bluesky), or recommendations as to who to follow, do shout!

Right, I best start following some people so my timeline isn't barren. Time for a coffee and a browse. Cheers!

*flicks switch*

This thing on? Hello! My name's Lewis and I'm a freelance motoring journalist, writer, and author, from the UK.

I'm primarily into classic and modified cars – well, anything that moves under its power, to be honest – and I'm often found at auctions, on eBay, or in the garage.
