Bit of a long one but this is the creek by the house after the rain yesterday. It’s a bit high and fairly muddy from runoff. The cicadas are happy it’s getting warm and the blackbirds are unhappy with the buzzards again. I’ve seen feathers get pulled out in the chases.

Cicadas are noisy when it gets warm. Might be able to see them flying in those leafy trees but it’s hard.

This is our little slider in the creek by the house. He’s usually very shy but today he was hanging out!
