Is this all smokescreen for the planned changes to the trainee scheme? That’s happening because the government does understand you need something to work towards to want to stay here, and I haven’t yet heard that they are back down from those plans

I think we should be able to agree there is a homogenous-enough political position that we can broadly refer to as the center/the establishment/whatever. We all know what it refers to.
