it's that we as a society, culture and community raising people failed miserably at imparting the ability to tell what is important and what is non-negotiable work. The "Reagan generation" (of which every following president, CEO, etc. has been more of the same) was beyond toxic.

This is all the same stuff as "Red Alert" and "Dr. Strangelove" was making fun of with Jack D. Ripper and "Purity of Essence" (movie dialogue literally mentions fluoridation of water as a communist mind control program).

It's unfortunately not a new thing,

this is an absolutely insane position to take. For the vast majority of the country (over 80%), things got significantly worse economically. Every single statistic you could look at re: spending and inflation shows this.

Buddy, 10% if the population is below the official federal poverty line. They are absolutely counting cents. 33% are near poverty, and they are too.

If you're talking about a family with kids, 400% of poverty line, they too are also 100% budgeting groceries.

You are just wrong on this one.

It's an absolute failure of education in this country that every single person doesn't leave school knowing that the only way to reliably be able to make money is to have a reliable system of predictable laws and rules.
