Benthic macroinvertebrates are aquatic animals without backbones that can be seen with the naked eye. Different species have variable tolerance to environmental stress, so they can be used as indicators of water quality. Learn more at vasos.org

Our Riverine volunteers had an active day! Below are pictures from the Henrico Education Fair at JR Tucker High School. Our Living With Black Bears teams were also at the Glen Allen Branch Library and the Elmont Ruitan Club. Big thanks to all of our volunteers and hosts!
