On the ground, I was struck by how people had prepared to take care of each other. I saw one woman with freezing feet and the guy in front of me pulled out a pair of wool socks and hand warmers for her. Others had first aid kits on their backs. Free coffee and food along the way.

Btw This reference to the green line is unclear. Are you referencing crime/violence? That’s a great topic to mention for roi bc StP has a good record on gun violence and murders, no?

It would be great to hear how taxes compare in nearby munis. StP has unique problems to wrangle with but I’d imagine all cities are getting squeezed in today’s economy. Did Mary say where she’ll move to next when her taxes go up in SStp?
