It’s surprisingly faithful to the books! It’s shorter than the 1979 adaptation but adapts slightly more—at least until college arc. The scenery is gorgeous, characters are lively, and honestly it’s a fresh breath of air these days! I recommend so much!

The way they depict death and illness among the mundane… watching yourself grow through other people…… I cried so much from sadness and joy from this series 😭😭😭

From my understanding they will adapt the first three books but it’s so satisfying to see such a beautifully crafted coming-of-age story. Seeing yourself in Anne in all ages
