My first advice to junior contributors is to STOP using vibe coding for PRs. OSS is always about people more than about code. We don't need more code generated by LLM, we need more people who care.

I know "code snippets" are a thing, but it hits different if it's an attachment you gotta open instead of just code inline. Discord is pretty amazing at this 🙂

Just ease of distribution I reckon. Having to compile the binaries for all common targets every release could become a pain point

Chicken-egg problem! The opposite is also true: if there's no software to contribute to in Rust, you don't have an incentive to learn Rust. Trailblazers are needed to make sure we keep innovating :)
