Rights of Every Child on Instagram: "Every child has a right to peaceful assembly. From the artist Nadia Fisher @ariadelsole: “I chose to illustrate this right cited in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child because I believe that children of all ages have the right to gather, assert themselves, and create awareness for the things they believe in, and their rights should be protected.
Children all over the world are already disenfranchised and treated differently just based on their age, and by respecting and honoring their universal right to freedom of peaceful assembly, children are allowed to have certain levels of agency over themselves, defend their rights, become participants in their worlds, and help advocate for their futures. And whether they gather in person or online, as adults, we have to protect their right to be free from discrimination, harassment, and other forms of restrictions when they gather.”

The kids, with varied skin colors and features, wear sneakers, jeans, one a hijab, and all in gentle solid colors.]"
