Ifixit has the 1TB and I believe 2TB version of the stock model deck HD so I went with one on there as I had trouble with an earlier attempted HD upgrade.

Realizing how much I f’d up this deck originally. Got a perfect working deck now though!

And vice versa with the switch controller!

I used second attempt to upgrade the hard drive to a 1TB and make sure you get some thermal paste on hand. All the stuff was on ifixit for reasonable prices at the time.

Yup. You basically have to disassemble the entire thing so time consuming but not difficult or confusing if you’re just following a video. Honestly don’t know what I did to wreck it.

The kit came with purple buttons/triggers/pass but I kept the original black ones to get some contrast in there.

Honestly, I somehow wrecked the touch-screen’s ability to detect touch so I picked up a replacement screen off ifixit and put that in with no issue. Even upgraded to the etched glass.

The screen definitely took the longest. You have to clear out the old adhesive snd the the new adhesive spot on.

Atomic purple is such a good controller vibe. Love my gameboy colour so much I had to so the same thing to my steam deck!
