Slightly weird woman who never grew out of their horse phase, historian, yarn enthusiast, avid reader, slow writer with too many WIPs, and occasional baker
Happy Sunday!!

As someone from the Arcadia region of Louisiana I am loving this

Possibly the first successful coup in the US

I freaking love Hobgoblins!! It's a hilarious movie and just think of the possibilities if they had real money behind them.
November 20, 2025 at 6:17 PM
I love bad movies because most of them are just people who did not have enough money for their vision.

I feel ripped off because my aunties geese chased us all year round
November 18, 2025 at 3:26 AM
Geese, those cobra chickens will take a grown man down
November 18, 2025 at 3:17 AM
That would have been my Uncle Butch who had about a dozen big ass dogs on his farm. He also grew some cataract medicine plants so those dogs were always sharp.

I respect that kind of sass

There's one near me, usually I avoid corporate chains but I may have to give this one a try
November 18, 2025 at 3:10 AM
The ending is ambiguous which yeah could set up a sequel
November 17, 2025 at 6:49 PM
And I'm not the woman to explain how complicated their relationship was and how she said otherwise in her writings

I mean would you want to say amazing things all the time about the guy fucking your husband?
November 17, 2025 at 6:47 PM
You need to read more because she has complicated feelings about Byron but his relationship with her husband was the biggest issue
November 17, 2025 at 3:27 PM
Oh definitely, while the book doesn't get it's full treatment on screen, the movie versions all have their own merit
November 17, 2025 at 2:51 PM
You need to read more about Mary's feelings for Byron and his relationship with her husband
November 17, 2025 at 2:50 PM
Byron was not a dear friend of Mary's he was her husband's friend. People wrote stories to get away from his insufferable ass.
November 17, 2025 at 2:04 PM
Agreed which was a bit of a shock as the lead up to the movie was about how faithful to the source material it would be.

There were a lot of changes and Mia Goth kept annoying the hell out of me. Can the woman actually speak her lines?
November 17, 2025 at 12:16 PM
It's a solid movie but I was a little disappointed with the CGI wolves and I'll get blasted for this but Mia Goth is a mediocre actress who can't enunciate her dialogue.

Victor was forgiven entirely too easily but the Byron quote at the end was jarring.

Why not a quote from Mary?
November 17, 2025 at 12:13 PM
Did you read the book? There were massive changes.
November 17, 2025 at 12:09 PM
I used to live a handful of blocks away from that school. I feel that the older lady down the block was definitely in the photos of the screaming racist. No wonder they want all of the past removed.
November 14, 2025 at 1:49 PM
Yeah not worried about that he'll we can't use floppy discs anymore
November 13, 2025 at 11:43 PM
Hey I always have said if you see me pushing an older person in a wheelchair while I'm at a horse auction, don't say a thing
November 13, 2025 at 1:03 AM
I despise reality TV because it's brain rot and only brings out the worst in people. Celebrity anything is even worse. I long for the day when reality TV dies and we can finally get well written, well acted entertainment again.

When progressive candidates run against them and we vote these assholes out of office
