So I think I've recognized a bad pattern that I have! I tend to very enthusiastically throw myself into my passions and want to do so much. While I did some cool stuff, I also rushed my progress, so I wanted to take a step back and go back to basics (like I should have) so here we are!

I've been profoundly silent on this account. Unfortunately life has just been really difficult lately. I sat down and opened up the last sketch sheet I was working on and realized that I don't think I want to continue it. I was excited at first because it was a study of my old chibis. /1

Spent a long time on this and it's the first full piece I've done since getting back into art after all these years, but it felt good to do it! I was originally just gonna do a style study on Fox, but I was scrolling through and saw this and something inside me said:
Go for it. You got this.

I've always found there's a beauty and a supreme elegance in simpler styles. I was checking out some silly gae comics and realized that I wanted to do a style study of @grs22.bsky.social and see how it felt and what I could pick up from it.

I really wanted to do a sketch page of hands cause I have to eat my art vegetables before I can have my cake, but my wrist started hurting and honestly I was getting tired of drawing hands x3

Sketch was based off of this concept art. In order to build my own skills I never trace, but keep the concept art on a separate screen so I can reference it instead!

I had originally intended to study art a bit through December and start the daily drawings in January, but I couldn't stop myself from drawing a bit this month too. Here you are! The line work will look better when my drawing glove comes in.
