I don't disagree at all. But I think it explains the reluctance to sign an aging veteran (e.g. Allen, Cooks) when it likely means giving up on a young player with at least some promise (Polk, Baker, Boutte). Agree that 84 would be the first casualty of any incoming WR at this point.
