outrage (when I must).
“honestly. I’m a bit jealous of your blindfold given what I’m seeing done in our names.”

…and on the eve of President Juan Orlando Hernández‘s pardon, how fitting

i hope that rx is colchicine and that you get prompt relief

if you can get you uric acid under 6.0 (with allopurinol if needed) you’ll never have another attack

and there are other meds that make the uric acid higher/worse - diuretics, sometimes niacin and aspirin

this field requires at least a decade of specialty training - after medical school
and a certain number of annual operations for skill
there’s the never ending prediction of “impending shortages” as our population ages and yet newer technologies replace old surgeries

🫡 anyone choosing this life

i was chased around a fallen bike by a rabid raccoon at 5 or 6 -
and then watched a neighbor father rescue me and dispatch it with a tennis racket (in my memory, but it may have been a bat or a golf club, memories being fuzzy)

🙏🏼 (i’m still in the nervous stage)
i’m walking distance from an Indian market that gives me a 15% neighbor discount, a Mideastern market with the best homemade baklava, spices, and halal goat, and several Latin corner stores with homemade tortillas, pupusas, and dried chilis I can’t (yet) name
November 30, 2025 at 5:57 PM
and i learn something else
i grew up with a beautiful crab apple tree and on occasion had crab apple jelly but never a pickled one
honestly the tree was more for winter entertainment - drunk squirrels
November 30, 2025 at 5:44 PM
love this post and shop alike
my Russian market, across the city, has similar stuff, but I’ve never tried smetana (🙏🏼)
I’m lucky to be near several immigrant markets

with retirement my go-to farm stand (Sigona’s) is too far
so I’ll use the Ferry Bldg Farmers’ Market midweek and get dim sum after

"Critics have likened Mr. Trump’s approach to blowing up boats as war crimes, while others have chalked it up as a cost of ocean transport in the Caribbean."
