I really don't know. It just seems like his national profile can be very positively affected by this lawful order pushback nonsense, and that may push him over Newsom.

I don't say this to endorse Kelly or his ideas; I'm sure there's stuff there I am not happy with. But I'll take him over Newsom in a hot minute because (googles quickly) Kelly has on the record vocal support for the LGBTQ+ community.
