Once the semester was complete, I ran a correlation analysis to see if there was a relationship between the amount of practices they say they did regularly and their average in each of the categories of the gradebook.
Here’s the result. * = statistical significance.

I think Honing Our Craft is a great resource. While the live chat may not have been what you expected, I think there’s definitely value in sharing your thoughts publicly as you read it. Thanks for your insight and contributions!

Do we really not know? I was just mentioning today at my #nectfl25 presentation the case of Nicaraguan Sign Language. There are scholarly accounts (a couple I have off hand attached) but Stephen Pinker also uses it as a foundational vignette in his book The Language Instinct. Worth exploring.
