It was chosen to be just narrow enough to target him alone, politically sensitive enough to get him out of office, but not severe enough to stop him bouncing straight into whatever the fuck he's doing now besides his half assed newspaper column.

It's like, I always thought it strange that Boris Johnson was so vehemently opposed to holding a Covid enquiry; I guess he couldn't stomach even the pretence of being held to account, because that is all British public enquiries are.

The thing is, *if* the singularity was a thing and it solved scarcity, that would mean wealth no longer has meaning, ergo no-one is rich any more. I don't think the billionaires would allow that
