On here, music mainly and a bit of sport. In real life I have a lovely wife and two great children to fit in too.
Brilliant album, possibly even beats Bitches Brew as his best album of the 70s.

Just playing it now and bizarrely I think that if they'd chosen Grimchester instead of Madchester they could have been the new Fall.

Definitely their best album. I'm not a huge fan of them but do wonder if their lairyness has distracted attention from the quality of the actual music.

Superb, I used to think it was a bit too austere but now one of my favourites by him.

Great when it's great but mediocre at times too, although I can live with a bit of unevenness on a double album.

Truly incredible album.

I must admit, I heard the Leo Sayer version many years before I heard the original. In terms of royalties could well be Albert Hammond's best song, although he did co-write The Air That I Breathe so that maybe rivals it.

At least it's not 'When I Need You'.

I knew he was an academic but haven't read his books. Fantastic trumpeter too.

Indeed, they sounded like nothing else.

Great of course but my least favourite of their first four, even more so when considering Virginia Plain wasn't on the original album. Given that I'm picking Eno solo I will give this a miss and hope that others vote for it.

Small margins but just seemed a bit lightweight compared to my favourite albums by them.

There are possibly 5 albums I love more but this is a debut album in the truest sense, an artist arriving from nowhere and creating something incredible. For me that carries extra weight.

Unsurprisingly will be topping my list.

A certainty for me. I agree that an album being their best could be a factor in tight decisions but that won't apply here.

I played it earlier in the week and was slightly underwhelmed by it. Some great songs for sure but overall not quite as strong a contender as I thought it would be.

Hugely underrated album I think, a genuine contender for my top 5.

Played it yesterday. Lacks the wow factor to break into my top 5 but such an accomplished and brilliantly played album it was a pleasure to play it again.

A certainty for me.
