Its been 10 years or more since I last ran a dual boot, and half that time someone else has been responsible for selecting my hardware and ensuring the distro (Ubuntu or Mint) just works :)

However, not really making a point, although I've been using Linux for quite a while, I'm not overly technical, so more clarifying my own understanding rather than trying to make a point of any kind.
