You don't get my vote by putting on the Jackboots and stamping on any minority.
Worth noting that in a recent parliamentary question Lillian Greenwood has kicked the subject into the long grass. It's now in the hands of political consultants to better understand the subject etc.

So he admits to being a racist.

I remember the time and firstly being surprised that John Prescott was the UK representative and equally surprised at the commitment he exhibited to fighting climate change.

Any correlation with the Lad Mag era?

Another can kicking exercise. Labour are fast becoming the party of inaction.

It was a great time to be alive!

Shared s flat with a guy who was an ex-public schoolboy from Kent. He was big into Beaujolais Day regarded the wine as something really special too. I thought it was cheap tasting little better than the austrian wines you could buy with added anti-freeze at the time.

Don't assume that the routes are suitable for road bikes though. There are some off road sections that can flood in winter. Especially in Tentsmuir Forest. Plus only go to Balmerino if you've got your climbing legs with you. Every route out is 10% plus except to Wormit. Ouchie!

But Labour isn't listening. They've decided they know best and and everyone else is wrong.
Labour peddling the line that Reform would be so much worse just doesn't hold any merit for me.

Such a good logo that even privatisation couldn't kill it off!

It's been a mark of his presidency to be rude to reporters. The fact that he has been able to get away with it is one of the reasons why we have such a poor press pool now. No one wants to challenge him properly, just as they didn't during the election campaign.

A reminder that inflation since 2020 has been 27.77% (source Bank of England inflation calculator). No wonder everyone is struggling.

The Mahmood plan runs against everything I believe in as a fellow human being.
November 17, 2025 at 7:16 PM
Looks Starmer has been sunk by Mahmood, in an act that has also finished off her own political career, in my view at least.
It's quite a feat.

It's fun but the busway it protects has been a bit of a disaster.

Just remember insecure positions lead to conditions of servitude. If you work for a bully or an abuser you can't leave or raise a compliant for fear of losing your immigration status. It's an abusers charter.

And very often the refill is smaller than the original.

But this doesn't just affect those fleeing persecution. It affects those we have invited in too. Those who are invited to work in care and the NHS. Those invited to contribute to our economy.
It is obscene. Did they not learn from the Windrush scandal?

The whole business model is built on exploitation of these vulnerable workers. The fact that it has been allowed to thrive brings great shame to this country and successive UK governments.

I saw Mr Rosen getting of a train in Newport a few months ago. He had to hold on tightly to the handle to manage the step down to the platform. Best argument I ever saw for level boarding and a testament to his determination to continue his work spreading the joy of language around the country.

And yet even by your own figures that means 2/3 have their claim upheld.
No one is saying that everyone who claims asylum is legitimate but we ban anyone claiming asylum from working until their claim is processed. How do you propose these people live while the government processes their claim?

The primary qualification for a councillor is being chatty in the bar after the party meetings.
