Artist, author & culture writer. History & art buff. The Museum of Photocopies. Quietus. Write about music, NL, & my family history. #MDANT. My 2nd book, The Punk Rock Birdwatching Club is now out. All stuff here. https://linktr.ee/richardfoster
Wild! My latest book is in a full page ad for Marks & Spencer in @theobserveruk.bsky.social’s supplement today. I’m baffled, flattered, wondering what to do, but, MUCH WORSE: is my book contributing to cosiness??? I feel like Terry in the Likely Lads going to Bob & Thelma’s posh housewarming party…

Made a hot dash from my Bristol - Amsterdam flight to Paradiso to see Black Country, New Road play. They are such a fascinating band. They really hit a note with people, an open secret sort of band. (Delighted to call them friends, too.)

My publisher, the mighty @ortacpress.bsky.social tell me that the royalty advance on my first book Flower Factory is paid off. Now I can earn hard coin/good screw on it. Learn about the odd combo of raving and tulips in NL, anno 2000. Print, online, please consider buying one? Thank you, Richard xx

Funny old Banksi with his luxury jests… only privileged pr*cks get to talk about shooting folk for the betterment of society. I was just in the Latvian war museum and saw this.
