Hardest hitting one I’ve seen yet.

Fuck, can you imagine.

Yeah, they didn’t say, anything…

The was a great episode!

Ms Ketterling’s expertise was so thorough and she communicated complex ideas so well that it made me feel like I’ve actually been sitting at the kids table most of the time.

Was rad, keep it up.

I was flabbergastingly embarrassed by the fact that I didn’t know/ever consider the origins of the Seamus Mcnally Grand Prize (as an IGF winner and nominee myself no less!) super heartwarming, thank you!

Every episode seems to have a few of these ‘oh shit, really?’ moments, & I’m grateful for them!

Is there a zero missing here?

I could be misreading/misinterpreting here - but this is not giving me good vibes.

In a world where FRACT OSC was a mega hit (ha!) we might have gotten the other episodes/sequels etc...

I'm a masochist, so we actually started with the hardest one first.

We ended up going much deeper than the initial designs, but synthesis was much harder to design 'game' around and it was technically many orders of magnitude more complex.

The original plan for FRACT was to have episodes each exploring aspects of electronic music.

FRACT OSC: synth voices
FRACT DRM: drum machines and programming
FRACT SMP: samplers and MPC philosophies
FRACT SPN: DJ tools and remix techniques

DHR and Atari Teenage Riot come to mind. I think it was mostly samples and distortion pedals and maybe a 303 though, probably no trackers…

Update:
We didn’t find the Geiger counter (which now puts a new years project in jeopardy), but we did find the improvised EMP cannon/beam my dad made to fuck with the neighbours

Good news is I (and my kids) played 63 freakin games this year.

Despite the slightly discouraging industry statistics, this is a big deal for me, as I would rarely play more than 2 or 3 games a year typically.

Progress? Does this mean I don't hate videogames anymore?

Probably not?

Still a grump
