It was great to join the Southampton Hong Kong community Lunar New Year celebrations today. Many interesting conversations, some excellent food, and a festive atmosphere.

The saga of the non-functioning street light on Arnheim Road continues. According to the Council, or at least the company that looks after street lighting, it doesn't exist. It's very much still there - as the photo shows.

Having been the lone Lib Dem on Southampton City Council this time two years ago, it was a proud occasion to be part of a group of five at Full Council today - our first as a quintet following George Percival's victory in the Shirley by-election last month.
