This headline and story on the BBC News website is concerning. It talks of “illegal immigration” and “illegal crossings”. No mention of “refugees” or “ Asylum seekers”. It’s biased and, frankly, inciting. It completely fits the racist narrative being pushed by Reform and the hard right.

The British registered boat was stopped in international waters. Israel’s actions are nothing short of piracy. To take the crew to a country, to which they were not heading, illegally detain them, and then say they will be “deported” is outrageous. Why is our government silent on this?
